To be a winner you got to believe you can win. My rider, Kerin, had a great win in his rookie year of cycle racing in division 2. He’s been looking for that win for a few races now. More great performances to come from him I am sure of that.
30 hrs of Non-Stop Cycling

Many congratulations to Nick Affleck for completing his epic challenge of cycling 30 hrs around Guernsey non-stop to raise funds for Les Bourgs Hospice. Nick covered 376 miles during his ride. That is the equivalent of more than 16 times around the Island.
Fitness Studio Update

It’s been a busy week as the builders have moved off site and my fitness equipment has arrived. My clients survived the first few sessions in my fitness studio. I am delighted with the studio, both in terms of appearance and the quality of equipment.
I am also looking forward to using the equipment myself and poor ole Mike will be directed to the fitness studio to fight the flab.
Thanks to everyone involved in doing such a great job, in particular Phil and his mob, Dave B, Andy, Dave H and Paul L.

It’s all coming together. We now have electric and a shower. The equipment is being put together. I’m really pleased with how the studio has turned out and the equipment looks fantastic.
Kick your sugar habit at a steady pace

If you need to kick your sugar habit and it feels like a very large step, take your time. Let’s face it, chances are you have been over indulging on sugar for many years so why would you expect to suddenly stop? Make your change of lifestyle more manageable by a controlled and progressive change in your eating habits.
You don’t have to go from eating cakes and chocolate for your mid morning snack, lunch and dinner to a plate of salmon and vegetables overnight. If instant withdrawal doesn’t work for you, instead eliminate a sugary food from your diet once a week. Look to replace that food with a natural product, such as fruit and nuts or healthy vegetables.
It’s better to take 6 weeks to change your long term habits and ensure that your new eating habits last a lifetime then to jump in to a new regime that you find intolerable and fizzles out quick than you can unwrap a Mars bar.

Coming Soon….Private Fitness Studio

Clients will soon be able to train in my private fitness studio. Shower / changing facilities will be available which makes pre-work or lunch time sessions an option. I expect the studio to be in operation in February 2010. No waiting for equipment, no wondering what others are thinking about you and no disruptions from school children having a PE lesson.
