Hypno Gastric Band Weight Loss

I am offering a 10% discount on this therapy for the month of January for the first 10 people to book.  Book early to avoid disappointment.

Hypno Gastric Band Weight Loss is ground-breaking hypnotherapy treatment for those that need help with weight loss. It is totally safe and pain free.  It is also much cheaper than having the actual gastric band operation without the complications that can happen as a result of the operation.

The procedure for the Hypno Gastric Band Weight Loss therapy is as follows:

  • I will meet with you to determinate your suitability for the treatment. This would include weighing you to assess your Body Mass Index.
  • If we agree to proceed, you would have 3-4 sessions with me.
  • We would discuss your food cravings in order that we can work on these during the hypnotherapy.
  • I will guide your mind through the process from consultation to anaesthetic to the operation.
  • If required we would also conduct a band adjustment through hypnotherapy.

Visit my website for more information.

Please contact me to make an appointment for weight loss, confidence, motivation, stopping smoking, anxiety, phobias and many other issues.

Happy New Year

Wishing all my clients and friends a very Healthy and Happy New Year.  May you reach all your weight and fitness goals.

Mike’s Food Intolerance including Yeast Intolerance

Well, as I reported earlier, Mike was struggling to adjust to a new diet.  He was frustrated by lack of variety, getting bored of rice, missing dairy, bread and such likes.  He has decided to continue with a ‘normal’ diet ignoring his food intolerances.

I doubt he will take another food intolerance test but it would be interesting, if he did, to see in 3 or 4 years time whether his intolerances have go worse or are impacting how he feels more than they are now.  Yeast is a top score for him at 4 and, from my own experience, is a difficult one to get down.  Despite my best efforts, the score of yeast for me which was 3, did not budge in a year.  I am however, hanging on in there and still avoiding yeast products and the likes of mushrooms and sugar.   Sugar is an ‘evil’ in any event for that’s for another time.

Revolutionary Hypno Gastric Band Weight Loss

FED up of dieting? Just can’t shift the pounds?

A new ground breaking hypnotherapy treatment is now available, which is totally safe and totally pain free. Hypno Gastric Band Weight Loss – a fraction of the cost if you were to have the gastric band operation.
After initially meeting to discuss if this treatment is suitable for you, 3 sessions will then be taken to conduct the therapy including food cravings. Under hypnotherapy, guiding your mind through the process from consultation to anaesthetic to the operation itself. If you were to have the real surgical procedure all different kinds of complications could occur, hence the hypno gastric band weight loss therapy is totally safe.

Hypnotherapy can be applied to many issues – weight loss, smoking, anxiety, phobias, insomnia, grief, OCD, motivation, confidence, eating disorders, almost anything.

Stop Smoking Therapy

Hypnotherapy has been proven to be very successful at helping smokers become non-smokers.

My ’stop smoking therapy’ will help you understand the key problem areas when giving up smoking - in particular the ‘3-3-3′ Rule.  Smoking has both pyschological and physical effects on the body, messing with your brain chemistry.

In normal circumstances you will attend 3 sessions in which you will gain new resources to eradicate the need for smoking.

With this therapy you will be given the resources to stop smoking and start living a healthier life.  Afterall emphysema and lung cancer are debilitating and deadly diseases, both are which are linked to smoking.  I know that most people believe that these are illnesses that happen to other people but then we all know someone who has suffered from cancer.   Watch this You Tube video if you want to know what it is like to live with emphysema.

To book in for my ’stop smoking therapy’ or make an enquiry please contact me.

Plea to help Les Bourgs Hospice

The following plea was sent to me from one of my clients.  As it is for such a good cause I have decided to post this to my blog.

This is a plea to help find Guernsey based volunteers to create and run a fun, short-term, Connie-themed Facebook page for the forthcoming Cash Cow Carton appeal for the rebuild of Les Bourgs Hospice.  I know you may not be interested in helping to run a Facebook page personally, but am simply asking if you could find two minutes to have a quick read and think about forwarding it even further (in Guernsey) - including to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) teams/managers if applicable.

A team of us  - including our wonderful key sponsors the GPO, the Guernsey Dairy, NatWest and G4S - are running a fundraising appeal for the rebuild of the new Les Bourgs Hospice.   The Cash Cow Carton launches w/commencing Jan 30th Jan when all 25,500 households on the island will receive a Connie-themed, flat-packed 1/2 Litre milk carton with the post - along with a plea to fill it with loose change and return to any NatWest or GPO Branch within the next 6 months.

We’re putting together a Facebook team to keep Connie’s page creative, funny and lively and really encourage followers and engagement …..all with the goal of increasing filled carton return rates!

The commitment would be a couple of team meetings and up to about an hour a day for 2 separate weeks during the 6 month campaign.

If you know of anyone who is:

  • a really keen Facebook user
  • funny/creative/lively and a team player
  • reliable - and will do what they commit to
  • intelligent and discerning re appropriate content for all age groups and
  • would enjoy helping the Hospice

We’d love to hear from them!  Please could you forward this message onto them and ask them to contact Caleb (czunino@guernseypost.com).

If you don’t know anyone who fits the above - but are willing to forward onto other contacts or CSR teams we’d be equally grateful!

Thanks so much for reading, for forwarding  - or for any help you may be able to offer.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Gluten Intolerant - You don’t have to miss out on pudding

If you are like me…gluten intolerant but rather partial to Christmas pudding, my favourite thing about Christmas (apart from presents), then you don’t have to miss out.  Village Bakery do an organic gluten-free, wheat-free, vegan and dairy-free Christmas pudding.

The pudding contains a total fruit content of 39% including dates, apricots and apple juice.  It does contain nuts.   The nutritional statistics are not too bad either with only 2.9% saturated fat.  The majority of the carbohydrates (53.1%) are from sugars (38.7%) but much of this will be from fruit sugars.

Enjoy!

Mike’s Food Intolerance & Yeast Intolerance

Mike had a food intolerance test a few months ago using the York Test home kit.  He scored 4 on intolerance to yeast which is the top score you can get.  He had seven foods scoring 1 including beef (which seems to be quite common on food intolerance lists), dairy, egg white and gluten.  He also had 7 foods which he has a minor intolerance to and therefore should only eat once in 4 days.

Overall Mike has done well with tackling his food intolerance but lack of knowledge and some lack of focus causes him sometimes to make the wrong decision and often frustration.  Yeast is not the easiest intolerance to have as it appears in so many foods and in alcohol.  Some of the foods Mike has had to remove from his diet due to his yeast intolerance include:

  • Bread
  • Pastries
  • Buns
  • Crumpets
  • Croissants
  • Quorn
  • Sauces
  • Miso
  • Foods that are stored for long periods such as jam
  • Alcohol
  • Vinegar, pickles, chutneys and other dressings
  • Stock cubes

The following foods promote production of yeast and therefore also need to be avoided.

  • Mushrooms and sugar
  • Dried fruit
  • Buttermilk
  • Sour Cream
  • Tofu
  • Cheese
  • Yoghurt
  • Caffeine
  • B Vitamins unless marked ‘yeast free’

As you can see, it is quite a lift of foods to avoid.  Check labels carefully.  You can buy yeast free options with many foods and I would suggest that a visit to your local Health Food Store would be advantageous.  Feel free to ask the staff there for assistance.  Once you get a grip on your yeast intolerance you will realise can still have a varied diet.  Hopefully in time your yeast intolerance will improve allowing you to carefully and gradually reintroduce yeast foods into your diet.

Hypnotherapy - Testimonial

Thank you Mhairi for the testimonial, so pleased I was able to help:

“Having several phobias, the worst being scared of heights, I was asked by Ann if I would like to try hypnotherapy.  Being a bit sceptical I sat, tongue in cheek, but also very apprehensively as you never know what might happen in these type of sessions!  Ann is a true professional at everything she does and I really need not have worried.  I remember thinking as she was talking to me that it was never going to work - Ann perservered talking calmly and quietly.  When the session was over I felt no different to when I started.

The proof of the pudding, as they say, would be when I next ran on the cliffs or had to hold a ladder for my husband - both of which sent shivers up my spine and made me feel quite giddy.  My first run on Les Tielles cliffs was amazing, without even realising it I ran to Pleinmont and back looking out to sea and to the bays below without so much as a shiver - and I didn’t have to ask my husband not to go too close to the edge!  This weekend saw the Christmas lights put up around the house, me holding the ladder and not a single whinge for him not to go too high, no lightheadedness, no churning stomach - I used to have to look at the ground.

I am so impressed - I know it is early days but I feel so excited to think that I can say goodbye to this phobia - hopefully for good.  I will certainly consider asking Ann to help me with my others.  Watch this space.  Thank you so much Ann.  Another achievement you can be proud of.”
