What’s ‘your’ best time of day for exercise?

Some of us are morning people and others night owls.  Exercising at ‘your’ best time of day will get the best out of you.  Here are some pointers:

  • Morning exercie - to kick start your metabolism and give you an energy boost for the day.  Perhaps exercise plays on your mind if you don’t get it out the way or if you are easily distracted, do your exercise session before other things take over.
  • Lunch time exercise - if you want to make the most of available hours, rather than wondering around the shops spending money, put your trainers on and go for a run or pop to you local gym for a session. 
  • Evening exercise - not a morning person?  A good time to exercise and relief yourself of the day’s stress is after work.   Don’t give yourself time to settle down and get cosy at home though, get your sports kit on and off for your session.
