Tuesday’s boot camp

We will be meeting at 6.45 pm in the rear car park at Saumarez Park on Tuesday for boot camp.

Speed up your metabolism without exercise (part I)

Now, I am not saying that you shouldn’t exercise, as it’s important not only for weight loss/management but it is a useful tool in stress management and for health.  However, I thought you might like some other tips on boosting your metabolism:-

  • Hot it up - spices such as chilli, cayenne pepper and ginger increase your heart rate and therefore increase your metabolism.     
  • Home made is best - It’s always best to cook home made meals rather than restaurant or take out as you know what goes into them so can keep the fat content down. 
  • Go green – replace your cuppa of English Breakfast tea with green tea which contains antioxidants that speed up metabolism.  Not only this but you won’t have the calories from milk either.
