Saturday’s Boot Camp

Saturday’s boot camp will be at Jerbourg at 10 am.  Wrap up warm!

Foundations First

When you embark on a running or cycling challenge it is important that you don’t let your enthusiasm take over from a sensible progression.  You need to condition your body and lay down a foundation of fitness and particularly fitness in your chosen sport to avoid injury.

A general rule of thumb is to increase the duration or intensity of your training by no more than 10% each week. This means therefore that you need to allow sufficient time to prepare for your challenge and not leave it until you are a month away from the main event.
