Pineapple Protection

Pineapple contains Vitamin C to protect against damaging free radicals which attack and damage our body’s healthy cells.  Vitamin C also helps fight against infections and the likes of the common cold.

Other key ingredients of the pineapple are Manganese and Thiamine (Vitamin B1) which strengthen our antioxidant defences, as well as assist with energy production.  Eating pineapple and other fruit each day helps to protection against Age Related Macular Degeneration.  This is the main cause of loss of vision amongst older adults.

The stem and core fruit of a pineapple contain Bromelain which is a complex mixture of substances which is produced as a supplement.  Bromelain aids digestion in the intestinal tract as well as reduces inflammation.  It can reduce excessive clotting of the blood, as well as reduce some types of tumour growth when taken as a supplement.
