Balance out your diet

Here are some simple rules to balance out your diet.  If you apply these then you are on the right track:

All in moderation – don’t have three portions when you go out for a meal and don’t select cheesy or creamy dishes that can escalate the calories.

Even it out - maintain a balance between your calorie intake and calorie expenditure.  The amount you can eat will depend on your sex, age, weight, height, and how much physical activity you do.  All these areas make a difference to your metabolism.

Variety is the spice of life - make your diet varied and colourful.  Your plate should be filled with a variety of vegetables, consume whole grains, lean protein and snack on fruit.More top tips to come.
