Rain rain go away

Keep a check on my blog this morning.  If the rain is persistently heavy then I will cancel boot camp.  I will post again aby 9.30 am.

How to tone your butt

This is always a popular one.  I often get ask “how can I tone my behind?”.

Here are some ways of getting firm butt cheeks.

Lunges - stand with feet hip width apart, take a breath in and step forward with your right foot, as you do so, lower your hips so that your right knee is at at 45 -90 degree angle (depending on your fitness level) and your left foot is behind you with a bent knee.   The bigger the angle the harder the exercise.  Exhale and push back to the original position, then do the same with the other leg forward.

Climb steps/stairs - place your whole foot on the stair and press down firmly through your heal before taking the next step.

Kickbacks - place your hands and knees on a mat, kick your right leg back and up in a bent position , as you do this tense your buttocks, hold for a few seconds and release.  Do the same with the left leg.
