90% Rule

Eat good, healthy food 90% of the time and 10% of the time have ‘fun’ food.  This way you don’t have to feel that you are missing out on the occasional treat but it keeps the balance right.

Vary your diet so that you eat a combination of fish, lean white mean, the occasional piece of ‘quality’ red meat, starchy carbohydates plus a good variety of fruit and vegetables.  A varied diet will provide you with a good mix of nutrients.
